...does this make us sell outs?

Another sold out show! Whohooo! The 7pm is packed, I think we even added a few seats. I'm not sure how we're doing for 9pm but I'm psyched at the turnout so far. I'm mid-movie blogging (my office is upstairs from the theater) because as much as I do like watching the film, I've seen it about a thousand times, and sometimes I need to take a break! It is a lot of fun though to watch it with an audience and hear & feel their responses...so far so good!

The first public screening of "And on the 7th day, God Rocked" was SOLD OUT! It was awesome! We were almost sold out for the 9pm screening as well! The response was fantastic and we had some DVD pre-orders, new sign-ups for our mailing list and a lot of laughs! Whohooo! I'm hoping the word out of mouth gets out there tonight and we can pack the house again!

So last night we had our big VIP Premiere of "...AND ON THE 7TH DAY, GOD ROCKED" here in Duluth for cast/crew and local "VIPs". We had over a hundred people turn out to see the flick, enjoy a beverage or two and some fabulous food catered by Bob Bennett. The response to the film was great! People laughed in the right places, seemed to really enjoy the music and have a good time. Afterwards at the party people mingled and talked and enjoyed the vibe of the cool party room we had set up. My favorite part of the night was as I was sitting alone waiting for Steve to return to me, I was eavesdropping on the people behind me talking about the film - repeating their favorite moments, QUOTING LINES from the film -it was awesome. It made me feel like we had succeeded in making a "real" film (my Mother's words...). My lungs hung in there, but barely. I had a doctor's appointment yesterday afternoon because things just didn't seem quite right. I couldn...
Movie List!

(Stolen from Peder ) "EW has created a list of 'new classic' movies (via Althouse). This is the list of their top 100 movies of the last 25 years. I'm going to modify and pass it around (like we did with the booklist from Carrie). Movies that I've seen will be italicized. Movies that we own will be bolded. Movies that I've watched in the last five years will get a plus (+), as classic movies should be rewatched, no? Movies that shouldn't be on the list, that aren't classics will get an x (X). Clear on the rules?" Here's the list: 1. Pulp Fiction (1994) 2. +The Lord of the Rings trilogy (2001-03) 3. Titanic (1997) 4. Blue Velvet (1986) 5. Toy Story (1995) 6. Saving Private Ryan (1998) 7. Hannah and Her Sisters (1986) 8. The Silence of the Lambs (1991) 9. Die Hard (1988) 10. +Moulin Rouge (2001) 11. This Is Spinal Tap (1984) 12. The Matrix (1999) 13. GoodFellas (1990) 14. It's official. We are changing the name of GOD ROCKS. We have a few titles under consideration and will be making the change officially very soon. Hopefully this will not cause major confusion - but it shouldn't. The only place people are really talking about it is just here in town & maybe a wee bit in the Cities due to some cast being from there. I'll keep ya posted. Yeah, it sucks. It wasn't our choice but what can we do? It's not worth a lawsuit.

My time in St. Cloud is coming to an end and I'm heading off to Apple Valley to meet up with my sweet daughter & sweet husband. yay! My family will be there to celebrate the triplets' first birthday! I am excited to see everyone - but a couple people in particular. I survived my alone time - it was good. I think it's necessary but it's hard sometimes. It was a real treat, in a way, to have several hours to just relax. I watched 27 DRESSES on my laptop, read my book, played on Facebook & the internet in general, sat in the hot tub and just had some me time. Now I'm ready for some Dahlia time!

I have not been alone for this long in a very VERY long time. Over 6 months and then I was so large and uncomfortable that it wasn't all that fun anyway. But today I have time to kill and for the most part I'm alone. It's kind of nice to be in a place where I can't DO anything - I mean, I can't work (that much, a little), I can't clean my house, I can't stress about organizing the house, I can't even knit! (forgot my knitting). So I'm chilling out...laying on the bed, surfing the net (thank GOD for wifi, I cannot stress this enough). watch tv, watch a movie, read my book....listen to the winds howl through St. Cloud and wonder if we're getting more rain soon. Of course I miss the sweet peanut. I was listening to "Radio Paradise" (my FAVORITE) on iTunes radio earlier and they always play songs directly from my brain. As I got out of the shower I was sort of sad about missing Dahlia when "Everybody Hurts" by REM came on. A coupl...

I changed rooms this morning. I tried to turn on the tv this morning and it didn't work, no remote. Thinking I was an idiot, I went to the front desk only to find out that that room was "blocked" and I wasn't supposed to be in it. Lovely. So I moved rooms and now have a MUCH better wifi signal. :) That makes me happy. And I can watch The View. haha! Called my baby this morning. She's doing fine. Apparently when Erin got there this morning to watch her, she was asleep in our bed. Awwww, sounds like Steve brought her into bed with him this morning. So sweet. I miss them. oh and I think there's a tornado watch going on. Lovely.

I have to go out of town tonight for work...and I have to leave Miss Dahlia behind and I'm SAD. :( yeah, Steve & I went to California for a few days in March and I missed her terribly. But that was different. We had each other to commiserate with and to sing her little silly songs to each other, and this will just be me. Blech. Pooey. It's only for about 40 hours but it's enough. I am holding her as much as possible today, smelling her head, making her laugh, squeezing her tight because I won't get to tonight or tomorrow. BOO. I hate it. I wish I could take her with me, but it just doesn't work for this particular project. *sigh* But she and her Daddy will be driving to the Cities to meet me on Saturday for the triplets FIRST BIRTHDAY party! Can you believe it's already been a year?? Lots of photo cuteness to come. In the meantime I will go back to smelling Dahlia's head and holding back my tears. pooh.
Weekend Update

Wow - what a weekend. Busy busy busy...but quite good. Thursday (not technically the weekend, but whatever) - Steve & I went to the Duluth premiere of FRESH DULUTH which is a documentary about how awesome Duluth is. My friends at Pro Video produced this film and I was excited to see it. It was really good - made me so proud to live here. It was a fun night with a great turn out. I'm really happy for them! Afterwards we went to the Red Star for martinis...well, I had martinis, because we had a BABYSITTER ON A WEEKNIGHT. It was awesome. Friday night my friend Sarah came in from Minneapolis - SPECIFICALLY so we could go see SEX AND THE CITY together, on opening night. I so rarely get to the theater these days to see a film, I was thrilled that this happened! We were going to go to the 7pm showig but it was sold-out so we opted for the 9:50 (way past my bedtime) showing instead. Beforehand were were back at the Red Star for more martinis. It's only fitting. I have never seen so...
