Naturally Optimistic

I've been out of the blogging loop this week. I could say I was saving all my "good" ideas for next week when we start NaBloPoMo but that would be lying. I'm recovering from a long weekend of shooting overnight in the rain and cold, finishing up my cold, drinking too much wine on Sunday night and moving - yes, I'm still recovering from moving. Soon i will be back...but now I have to stop my daughter from eating leaves. Oh! and the whole reason I logged on - to let you all know that I just reupped for a subscription to Martha Stewart Living WITH a free year's subscription to Everyday Food. I'm so excited and so dorky that I had to share that with everyone.

One (female) should never watch this film while feeling particularly alone, melancholy and drinking wine. *sniff* I am such a sucker and I miss my friends.

I may be a HUGE nerd, but damn I love this show. LOVE IT. It is the only show I actually submitted a tape to (to be a contestant) when it was originally on back in the early '00s. I was so excited to hear that it was going to start again. And yes, I watched it. And it was good. WHO IS...THE MOLE?

From the Triplets... ...and me....

Ah the clumsiness associated with pregnancy has begun... Well it began a while ago. After a weekend shoot I was unloading our craft services supplies (food, paper plates, beverages, etc) and was dealing with two rather full crockpots of creamy wild rice soup which didn't get eaten (grrrr). I had them both on my counter and planned on just dumping them out because really? What was I going to do with 30 servings of wild rice soup that the smell of made me a little queasy? As I picked up one crock pot, I caught the 2nd one with the cord or my hand or something and I ended up dropping the entire thing on the floor of my kitchen. Luckily MOST of the soup stayed confined to the crockpot (well, and the floor) but I did get quite a bit of auxiliary splatter on my baseboards, cupboards, nooks & crannies underneath cupboards, oven door, dripping into the over drawer etc. Boy that was fun. Next last week I was dishing up some pork chops & potatoes that I had made for dinner and prompt...

All is good. Both items were turned in to the theater by this morning. YAY!!!!!! :)

I'm so bummed out right now. After returning to the hotel last night following the last film. I realized I didn't have my cell phone! I dumped out my purse & the bag I've been toting around all weekend and it wasn't there. I rushed back to the theater in hopes people would still be there...they were. I checked the counter, I checked the seats, the floor, etc. No sign of it. Back at the hotel, I checked my bag & purse again. Nothing. Then I realized "crap! What if it was in my popcorn bag and I threw it away?" So, I rushed back to the hotel where I looked through the garbage (it wasn't that nasty) and found my little popcorn bag (I knew it was mine because there was a diet coke can in it and it was upright in the can. Nothing. I rechecked the theater & the bathroom to no avail. Back to the hotel. I decided to cheer myself up by looking at the pictures I took around Fargo today in slideshow format when I realized....HOLY SHIT! I don't have my...

This is what I look like every night when I go to sleep. Beavis tucks himself right in next to me. ** this is a real shot. I was woken up by the flash going off on the camera! Steve said he just couldn't resist.

My week keeps getting better and better. Check out this article on Girl Scout Cookies . K had mentioned it to me earlier this week and I was ecstatic! Last year Steve & I decided to not order any more GS cookies because of the trans fats. Looks like that's not an issue any more. Whohooo!

It was really REALLY cold on the lake on Saturday.

Hmmm, I was just washing a paint brush (the front closet looks fantastic, btw) and my hands when I lost control of the "hose" we have hooked up to the laundry sink in the basement and it went crazy! Think cartoon-fire-house.... DOUSING ME! I am such an idiot. doh.... And on that note, I think I will be relaxing for the rest of the evening! Sadly, there is no video.

I'm a huge dork (noted) but I'm so excited because I sold my first item on the Amazon Marketplace! I listed a book last night and this morning I had the "ship now" notice in my inbox. Yay! I've listed many things in the past and they've never sold so this is a real treat. Granted I am making approximately $4 but still! That's $4 I didn't have yesterday!
