One Month


Today we are celebrating one month of wedded bliss!

I cannot believe that it has gone so fast. Time really flies. It's a wee bit scary if you ask me.

One month before the wedding I was excited to go to Vegas with my girlfriends. I can't believe that was two months ago! Now I am happily taking time to *breathe* and regroup and resettle now that life is returning to normal. I have a list of projects a mile long that I wish to tackle and the holidays & honeymoon are right around the corner.

and IT'S A GIRL!! I'll do a proper introduction later and the whole story and everything but in the meantime, we had a baby girl. 2:15pm on Friday afternoon (I posted at, what? 10;30am? You do the math!!). Her name is Dahlia Marie and she weighed in at a whopping 6lbs even. 19 1/4" long and so incredibly gorgeous (although, I might be a wee bit biased). The birth was the most amazing experience I've ever been through and my mind is still, well, blown, quite frankly. I am so tired though...time for a quick nap before we try to feed again.

Born 5:32am on Tuesday, April 27th, 2010 7lbs 11.5oz 21 inches long He came before the pitocin which made Mama very happy & he's 100% all natural. It was tough, but I admit I'm proud of myself for doing it! Labor story to come, but first I must eat a cinnamon roll....

Privacy, please!

Well, the time has come. After 6 1/2 years (!?) Naturally Optimistic will be going private at the start of the new year. If you are interested in still reading my INCREDIBLY exciting posts & commenting on my cute children, email me & I will put you on the invite list. Like I said - it won't happen for another couple weeks, but there ya go. Time to make a change. I'm kind of sad because I've met some cool people - randomly - by having this blog....but the phase of putting all my stuff out there for everyone to read is over. Thanks!
