11. Glow Bath

No,  it's not a nuclear bath - it's a bath with glow sticks! Yet another idea from Play at Home Mom. Since the evenings now come SO quickly and it's dark dark dark so much of the time, why not spice up bath time a little bit by throwing some glow sticks in? It was pretty dang cool, if I do say so myself. I kind of want to take a bath like that! I left the light off (except for a nightlight) & the kids LOVED it! Something we will likely do again during these long winter nights.




Sarah had given me these glow sticks in a box of stuff for the kids when she moved to Scotland- I think we put them to good use! Thanks, Sarah!

and IT'S A GIRL!! I'll do a proper introduction later and the whole story and everything but in the meantime, we had a baby girl. 2:15pm on Friday afternoon (I posted at, what? 10;30am? You do the math!!). Her name is Dahlia Marie and she weighed in at a whopping 6lbs even. 19 1/4" long and so incredibly gorgeous (although, I might be a wee bit biased). The birth was the most amazing experience I've ever been through and my mind is still, well, blown, quite frankly. I am so tired though...time for a quick nap before we try to feed again.

Privacy, please!

Well, the time has come. After 6 1/2 years (!?) Naturally Optimistic will be going private at the start of the new year. If you are interested in still reading my INCREDIBLY exciting posts & commenting on my cute children, email me & I will put you on the invite list. Like I said - it won't happen for another couple weeks, but there ya go. Time to make a change.
