Dahlia at Church



Dahlia went up to "Children's Time" yesterday at church for the first time. She was pretty wary - but she was curious. Steve went with her. She only lasted a couple of minutes, but I think it was progress!

Just wait until the little one has big sister to help! Maddy not only went to children's time (with Mommy & Benjy of course). She followed Benjamin to Sunday School and stayed with him with no crying! I couldn't believe it.....last time I found her lying behind the door as she cried in the nursery for an hour straight. She was completely drenched in tears and mucous....not a pretty sight!

and IT'S A GIRL!! I'll do a proper introduction later and the whole story and everything but in the meantime, we had a baby girl. 2:15pm on Friday afternoon (I posted at, what? 10;30am? You do the math!!). Her name is Dahlia Marie and she weighed in at a whopping 6lbs even. 19 1/4" long and so incredibly gorgeous (although, I might be a wee bit biased). The birth was the most amazing experience I've ever been through and my mind is still, well, blown, quite frankly. I am so tired though...time for a quick nap before we try to feed again.

Privacy, please!

Well, the time has come. After 6 1/2 years (!?) Naturally Optimistic will be going private at the start of the new year. If you are interested in still reading my INCREDIBLY exciting posts & commenting on my cute children, email me & I will put you on the invite list. Like I said - it won't happen for another couple weeks, but there ya go. Time to make a change.
