Lame

Well, that was lame.

We set up a screening of GOD ROCKED at a church here in Duluth (the church I sometimes attend...) & exactly NO ONE showed up. Hmph. How disappointing. Jason, Erin & I chatted with the Pastor & gave up about 10 minutes after our scheduled start time.

Times like these all lend themselves quite easily to my feeling of burnt-out-ness.

Hmph.

Oh man. That stinks. I mean, yay for some Pastor David time because I think he's awesome. But the church didn't do a great job publicizing it. They did briefly mention it during the service on Sunday but because they couldn't provide any real details about where it was going to be shown, etc I'm not surprised people didn't really know about it. For being such a big church they are NOTORIOUS (in MY opinion) for not getting info out in a timely enough fashion to welcome attendance. Long comment short, their fault. Not yours.

and IT'S A GIRL!! I'll do a proper introduction later and the whole story and everything but in the meantime, we had a baby girl. 2:15pm on Friday afternoon (I posted at, what? 10;30am? You do the math!!). Her name is Dahlia Marie and she weighed in at a whopping 6lbs even. 19 1/4" long and so incredibly gorgeous (although, I might be a wee bit biased). The birth was the most amazing experience I've ever been through and my mind is still, well, blown, quite frankly. I am so tired though...time for a quick nap before we try to feed again.

Privacy, please!

Well, the time has come. After 6 1/2 years (!?) Naturally Optimistic will be going private at the start of the new year. If you are interested in still reading my INCREDIBLY exciting posts & commenting on my cute children, email me & I will put you on the invite list. Like I said - it won't happen for another couple weeks, but there ya go. Time to make a change. I'm kind of sad because I've met some cool people - randomly - by having this blog....but the phase of putting all my stuff out there for everyone to read is over. Thanks!
