5 Down, 40 to go!


The baby blanket for #2 is coming along nicely. These squares knit up pretty quickly and I'm so much happier with the color & texture. It's fun to switch between colors & patterns too. Prevents burnout (at least thus far). I'm hoping to keep this pace up and finish this blanket sooner rather than later...but I know myself so I won't hold myself to that!

I didn't notice the sailboat until the second time I looked at it. You have so much talent! I can knit and purl, that is it. So I have a bunch of scarves, haha!

I'm glad you're reading Soule Mama, boy she's crazy good knitter! I with I could be an 1/8th as creative as she is...

I am impressed and in awe, especially after reading your last post about the tax paperwork. How DO you do it all?

I just finished my first crochet "scarf" project. It really looks like a thin trail of chain stiches with lots of mistakes. I have so much to learn...

and IT'S A GIRL!! I'll do a proper introduction later and the whole story and everything but in the meantime, we had a baby girl. 2:15pm on Friday afternoon (I posted at, what? 10;30am? You do the math!!). Her name is Dahlia Marie and she weighed in at a whopping 6lbs even. 19 1/4" long and so incredibly gorgeous (although, I might be a wee bit biased). The birth was the most amazing experience I've ever been through and my mind is still, well, blown, quite frankly. I am so tired though...time for a quick nap before we try to feed again.

Privacy, please!

Well, the time has come. After 6 1/2 years (!?) Naturally Optimistic will be going private at the start of the new year.
