8. Fall Fun







I was afraid I wouldn't get a chance to take Dahlia outside & enjoy FALL with all the leaves, bright blue skies and temps that didn't require a snowsuit. Luckily the past couple of days have been nothing but gorgeous.

On Friday I worked from home and mostly spent the day hanging out with her. It was great. We played, we read, we had snacks, we jumped in the leaves, we looked at bugs, we napped (well, she napped). It makes me want to stay home with her every day. I need to figure out how to make that happen.



Last year she *liked* the leaves but didn't really play in them. This year, she LOVED them! She shrieked & squealed & had a fantastic time.

and IT'S A GIRL!! I'll do a proper introduction later and the whole story and everything but in the meantime, we had a baby girl. 2:15pm on Friday afternoon (I posted at, what? 10;30am? You do the math!!). Her name is Dahlia Marie and she weighed in at a whopping 6lbs even. 19 1/4" long and so incredibly gorgeous (although, I might be a wee bit biased). The birth was the most amazing experience I've ever been through and my mind is still, well, blown, quite frankly. I am so tired though...time for a quick nap before we try to feed again.

Privacy, please!

Well, the time has come. After 6 1/2 years (!?) Naturally Optimistic will be going private at the start of the new year. If you are interested in still reading my INCREDIBLY exciting posts & commenting on my cute children, email me & I will put you on the invite list. Like I said - it won't happen for another couple weeks, but there ya go. Time to make a change.
