4. Disconnected

Today is the day that Charter (finally) comes and disconnects our cable TV. It will be a good thing - it will save us money. We don't really watch cable anyway. Last night was the first time in....AGES...that Steve & I watched TV together, and we watched V which is on ABC. Hopefully I will not miss it.

Now, if only I could get my laptop & TV to talk to each other then I could watch Netflix on demand on the big screen!

Pilot Guy had this thing called VuDu I think it was called that you could pull up everthing on youtube on your television and it replaced cable.

I bought the adapters to hook my computer up to the HDTV, but I can't get it to work properly. Hmph. I need someone smarter to help me!

chris and i got rid of our cable awhile back when living in woodbury in hopes we would watch less TV. unfortunately we did not and just watched crappier TV. but we didn't have a little one around to keep us too busy for TV so you won't fall into that trap! :)

did you like 'V'? we watched it as well

Wow, I'm impressed. I would get much more done without access to Bravo and old chick flicks on TNT/TBS...

I gave up cable a couple of years ago and have rarely missed it. I prefer to watch things online, anyway.

and IT'S A GIRL!! I'll do a proper introduction later and the whole story and everything but in the meantime, we had a baby girl. 2:15pm on Friday afternoon (I posted at, what? 10;30am? You do the math!!). Her name is Dahlia Marie and she weighed in at a whopping 6lbs even. 19 1/4" long and so incredibly gorgeous (although, I might be a wee bit biased). The birth was the most amazing experience I've ever been through and my mind is still, well, blown, quite frankly. I am so tired though...time for a quick nap before we try to feed again.

Privacy, please!

Well, the time has come. After 6 1/2 years (!?) Naturally Optimistic will be going private at the start of the new year. If you are interested in still reading my INCREDIBLY exciting posts & commenting on my cute children, email me & I will put you on the invite list. Like I said - it won't happen for another couple weeks, but there ya go. Time to make a change.
