No Cry

So yesterday & today when I dropped Dahlia off at daycare - she didn't cry! It wasn't even like...anything. I just handed her over and she was fine. No big production, no keening, no wailing...no arms outstretched to her Mama....

*sniff*

Now why does THAT make me sad.

hmph.

Well, my friend Joan has gotten to the point that when her husband takes off with the two little ones for a long weekend, she goes back in the house and does the happy dance. Someday you won't cry either.

and IT'S A GIRL!! I'll do a proper introduction later and the whole story and everything but in the meantime, we had a baby girl. 2:15pm on Friday afternoon (I posted at, what? 10;30am? You do the math!!). Her name is Dahlia Marie and she weighed in at a whopping 6lbs even. 19 1/4" long and so incredibly gorgeous (although, I might be a wee bit biased). The birth was the most amazing experience I've ever been through and my mind is still, well, blown, quite frankly. I am so tired though...time for a quick nap before we try to feed again.

Privacy, please!

Well, the time has come. After 6 1/2 years (!?) Naturally Optimistic will be going private at the start of the new year. If you are interested in still reading my INCREDIBLY exciting posts & commenting on my cute children, email me & I will put you on the invite list. Like I said - it won't happen for another couple weeks, but there ya go. Time to make a change.
