My Little Graduate



Dahlia has officially graduated from the infant room to the toddler room! She's been so good all week. No crying at daycare, in a pretty great mood when we get her home in the evenings, been going to bed pretty well, and we're once again working on the "sleeping-in-her-own-bed" thing which is going...medium. I'm sure I've jinxed myself now...

She's also WALKING so much! It's amazing to see her make all these changes & leaps developmentally!! I'm a proud mama!

That so exciting. Congratulations Dahlia I remember I was so afraid when I heard she was going to move up. It was the greatest thing for her developmentally. I can't wait to hear about all the stuff Dahlia will be doing in the next few months!

and IT'S A GIRL!! I'll do a proper introduction later and the whole story and everything but in the meantime, we had a baby girl. 2:15pm on Friday afternoon (I posted at, what? 10;30am? You do the math!!). Her name is Dahlia Marie and she weighed in at a whopping 6lbs even. 19 1/4" long and so incredibly gorgeous (although, I might be a wee bit biased). The birth was the most amazing experience I've ever been through and my mind is still, well, blown, quite frankly. I am so tired though...time for a quick nap before we try to feed again.

Privacy, please!

Well, the time has come. After 6 1/2 years (!?) Naturally Optimistic will be going private at the start of the new year. If you are interested in still reading my INCREDIBLY exciting posts & commenting on my cute children, email me & I will put you on the invite list. Like I said - it won't happen for another couple weeks, but there ya go. Time to make a change.
