Rez Shoot - recap

We had so much fun today. We toured the Tribal Center/Community Center; we laughed our asses off with the Natural Resources dept (that sounds weird, but it's true); we witnessed a nasty car accident (that wasn't so fun); we "played" poker & black jack at the casino with fake money (I won a hand of poker with a 2 & a 3 - ha! How's that for bluffing?!?); we played some slots; we ate at the buffet; we got really cool casino interiors that I'm a little TOO excited about.

On days like today I really love my job.

and IT'S A GIRL!! I'll do a proper introduction later and the whole story and everything but in the meantime, we had a baby girl. 2:15pm on Friday afternoon (I posted at, what? 10;30am? You do the math!!). Her name is Dahlia Marie and she weighed in at a whopping 6lbs even. 19 1/4" long and so incredibly gorgeous (although, I might be a wee bit biased). The birth was the most amazing experience I've ever been through and my mind is still, well, blown, quite frankly. I am so tired though...time for a quick nap before we try to feed again.

Privacy, please!

Well, the time has come. After 6 1/2 years (!?) Naturally Optimistic will be going private at the start of the new year. If you are interested in still reading my INCREDIBLY exciting posts & commenting on my cute children, email me & I will put you on the invite list. Like I said - it won't happen for another couple weeks, but there ya go. Time to make a change.
