I just found out I failed my 3-hour glucose tolerance test. So I have GD. Pisser.

Well hopefully it'll just be a matter of watching your diet, not insulin and hopefully will go away when Chick Pea is born. What do they say about it? The good news is the baby is measuring just right so hopefully it won't be too hard on you.

My sister-in-law had GD and did just fine watching her diet. I hope it doesn't cause you too much discomfort. Hugs.

Oh, that sucks!

My hubby is diabetic & I have some recipes that are really yummy. Let me know if you're interested.

Not exactly an easy thing to have to deal with given all you've got going right now! At least it's just a few months.

and IT'S A GIRL!! I'll do a proper introduction later and the whole story and everything but in the meantime, we had a baby girl. 2:15pm on Friday afternoon (I posted at, what? 10;30am? You do the math!!). Her name is Dahlia Marie and she weighed in at a whopping 6lbs even. 19 1/4" long and so incredibly gorgeous (although, I might be a wee bit biased). The birth was the most amazing experience I've ever been through and my mind is still, well, blown, quite frankly. I am so tired though...time for a quick nap before we try to feed again.

Privacy, please!

Well, the time has come. After 6 1/2 years (!?) Naturally Optimistic will be going private at the start of the new year.
