Party Pooper

So I have a party planned for tonight. A Wrap Party for GOD ROCKS. It's to be an outside affair - the grill will be going, a fire was planned for our awesome firepit, etc...

Of course today is overcast, about 55 degrees and there is now a FIRE BAN in Duluth which means we cannot have a fire in our fire pit. POOEY.

I'm such a great party planner. Hmph.

Now I better go & hurriedly clean the house as apparently the party will be moving inside. Too bad the dessert I planned for was 'smores!

Doh.

and IT'S A GIRL!! I'll do a proper introduction later and the whole story and everything but in the meantime, we had a baby girl. 2:15pm on Friday afternoon (I posted at, what? 10;30am? You do the math!!). Her name is Dahlia Marie and she weighed in at a whopping 6lbs even. 19 1/4" long and so incredibly gorgeous (although, I might be a wee bit biased). The birth was the most amazing experience I've ever been through and my mind is still, well, blown, quite frankly. I am so tired though...time for a quick nap before we try to feed again.

Privacy, please!

Well, the time has come. After 6 1/2 years (!?) Naturally Optimistic will be going private at the start of the new year. If you are interested in still reading my INCREDIBLY exciting posts & commenting on my cute children, email me & I will put you on the invite list. Like I said - it won't happen for another couple weeks, but there ya go. Time to make a change.
