One of my favorite new "toys" that we got for our wedding. I'm looking to make a big pile of Christmas cookies this year. Wheeeeee!

So THAT's what I needed to get me through 9 days of Christmas cookie baking!

I did that once. About 6 years ago. I baked for everyone in my family (4 brothers, 2 sisters, parents, friends, The Cable Guy, The Post Woman, etc). And not just cookies either ... banana-nut bread, date bread, pumpkin bread.

9 Days later I swore I would never.ever.never do it again.

If I had one of these, I just might do it!

and IT'S A GIRL!! I'll do a proper introduction later and the whole story and everything but in the meantime, we had a baby girl. 2:15pm on Friday afternoon (I posted at, what? 10;30am? You do the math!!). Her name is Dahlia Marie and she weighed in at a whopping 6lbs even. 19 1/4" long and so incredibly gorgeous (although, I might be a wee bit biased). The birth was the most amazing experience I've ever been through and my mind is still, well, blown, quite frankly. I am so tired though...time for a quick nap before we try to feed again.

Privacy, please!

Well, the time has come. After 6 1/2 years (!?) Naturally Optimistic will be going private at the start of the new year. If you are interested in still reading my INCREDIBLY exciting posts & commenting on my cute children, email me & I will put you on the invite list. Like I said - it won't happen for another couple weeks, but there ya go. Time to make a change.
