Read-along

My friend Peder is on his quest to read a bunch of American Classics - not sure what the "official" title of this project is (the book project?) but he posted today that he's starting My Antonia by Willa Cather next and as that's something I have not read and I've always wanted to be in a "book club" I thought this was the perfect time to join in.

So - there you have it - my next book will be My Antonia - care to join us?

and IT'S A GIRL!! I'll do a proper introduction later and the whole story and everything but in the meantime, we had a baby girl. 2:15pm on Friday afternoon (I posted at, what? 10;30am? You do the math!!). Her name is Dahlia Marie and she weighed in at a whopping 6lbs even. 19 1/4" long and so incredibly gorgeous (although, I might be a wee bit biased). The birth was the most amazing experience I've ever been through and my mind is still, well, blown, quite frankly. I am so tired though...time for a quick nap before we try to feed again.

Privacy, please!

Well, the time has come. After 6 1/2 years (!?) Naturally Optimistic will be going private at the start of the new year. If you are interested in still reading my INCREDIBLY exciting posts & commenting on my cute children, email me & I will put you on the invite list. Like I said - it won't happen for another couple weeks, but there ya go. Time to make a change. I'm kind of sad because I've met some cool people - randomly - by having this blog....but the phase of putting all my stuff out there for everyone to read is over. Thanks!
