Broken

I'm so pissed!

I was washing up our new-never-before-used-martini-glasses that I got at a bridal shower so we can use them tonight and I was being OH SO CAREFUL when I washed them because I'm a paranoid freak and then the last one bumped the edge of one already in the drying rack as I was setting it down and BROKE. :-( WAAAAAAAAAAAAH! I know, a silly thing to be bummed about but I am! We hadn't even USED them yet. They don't seem *that* delicate but apparently they are. Man that sucks.

:-(

They're from Target so it's not that big of a deal but it bums me out nonetheless.

Hmph.

and IT'S A GIRL!! I'll do a proper introduction later and the whole story and everything but in the meantime, we had a baby girl. 2:15pm on Friday afternoon (I posted at, what? 10;30am? You do the math!!). Her name is Dahlia Marie and she weighed in at a whopping 6lbs even. 19 1/4" long and so incredibly gorgeous (although, I might be a wee bit biased). The birth was the most amazing experience I've ever been through and my mind is still, well, blown, quite frankly. I am so tired though...time for a quick nap before we try to feed again.

Born 5:32am on Tuesday, April 27th, 2010 7lbs 11.5oz 21 inches long He came before the pitocin which made Mama very happy & he's 100% all natural. It was tough, but I admit I'm proud of myself for doing it! Labor story to come, but first I must eat a cinnamon roll....

Privacy, please!

Well, the time has come. After 6 1/2 years (!?) Naturally Optimistic will be going private at the start of the new year. If you are interested in still reading my INCREDIBLY exciting posts & commenting on my cute children, email me & I will put you on the invite list. Like I said - it won't happen for another couple weeks, but there ya go. Time to make a change.
