Happy 300th post to me!

And it's STILL RAINING.

Hmph.

Steve stayed up with the sump pump last night until about 4am. I went back to bed around 2:30. I couldn't do anything anyway except hope the rain would stop. Right now it's "holding" (meaning no more water is coming in....) but the radar looks horrible (check it out zip code 55806) so I'm not sure how much longer we will be without 'new' water. *sigh* At least the sewer problem has stopped. Ugh.

I love a good storm, but this is ridiculous!!

Duluth IS pretty in the fall - but I think it's pretty all year round. Except spring. Duluth springs suck.

I *do* miss LA on occasion. The problem is memory is rose colored and I forget about the traffic, people, smog, pollution, traffic and outrageous cost of living (compared to here) when I daydream about living there. I'd like to visit though soon! Sheesh!!

and IT'S A GIRL!! I'll do a proper introduction later and the whole story and everything but in the meantime, we had a baby girl. 2:15pm on Friday afternoon (I posted at, what? 10;30am? You do the math!!). Her name is Dahlia Marie and she weighed in at a whopping 6lbs even. 19 1/4" long and so incredibly gorgeous (although, I might be a wee bit biased). The birth was the most amazing experience I've ever been through and my mind is still, well, blown, quite frankly. I am so tired though...time for a quick nap before we try to feed again.

Privacy, please!

Well, the time has come. After 6 1/2 years (!?) Naturally Optimistic will be going private at the start of the new year. If you are interested in still reading my INCREDIBLY exciting posts & commenting on my cute children, email me & I will put you on the invite list. Like I said - it won't happen for another couple weeks, but there ya go. Time to make a change. I'm kind of sad because I've met some cool people - randomly - by having this blog....but the phase of putting all my stuff out there for everyone to read is over. Thanks!
